Glink Professional Edition, update 7.1.5 is available
Glink Professional Edition, update 7.1.5 is now available. Your local distributor may download it for installation on production sites. This update is available free of charge to customers with a service contract for Glink Professional. Customers with a service contract for Glink Standard Edition can upgrade at a special discount. Customers with no service contract must purchase a license upgrade.
Please note that this update includes some minor enhancements in addition to error corrections.
This release is primarily a maintenance release that corrects errors detected in the original 7.1.0 release.
The details of errors corrected are documented in the known error pages of our web server, and are listed in the announcement for our technical list.
The 5250 emulation now supports the HostPrt funtion and by default this is assigned to the PC's PrintScreen key. A button for this function is also added to the 'Function bar' if displayed.
If you have been experiencing some problems with 5250 emulation, then you may wish to consult the 5250 corrections included in this release in the known error pages.
The Vip7800 'local scroll' keys which let you scroll the emulation window within the Glink window have been added to all the emulations supported by Glink. The keys are:
Note that for this functionality to be active you must set the window resizing option to 'Change displayed area'.
GlinkWeb is an extension to the Glink product family that gives web users access to mainframe applications from their browsers, without the need for additional software on the client workstation.
